Great success in the South American “Champions League”
It’s official! The finals of the Copa Libertadores, the most important South American club tournament – comparable to the European UEFA Champions League – will be played with two Reusch goalkeepers between the posts!
Argentinian Reusch icon Marcelo Barovero reached the final as captain of River Plate. The legendary club from Buenos Aires beat Guaraní in the semi-finals and so has the chance to raise the trophy 19 years after the team’s last Copa Libertadores victory.
With Nahuel Guzmán (ARG), goalkeeper of UANL Tigres from Mexico, another Reusch hero made it to the finals and so both goalkeepers will be wearing Reusch gloves in this year’s Copa Libertadores finals!
One thing is already sure: after last year’s triumph of CA San Lorenzo with Reusch goalie Sebastián Torrico, also this year Reusch will be the winner of the Copa Libertadores!
But who will take the trophy? Guzmán or Barovero? Tigres or River Plate?
Let’s get excited for the finals taking place on July 30 and August 6!
